Editing Questions and Answers
You can update any question or answer in your quiz at any time. Whether you need to fix a typo, add a new answer option, reorder choices, or remove a question entirely, the quiz editor gives you full control over your quiz content.
Opening a Question for Editing
All editing happens inside the quiz editor.
Open the Quizify app from your Shopify admin.
Click Manage Quiz and select the quiz you want to edit.
In the quiz editor, find the question you want to change and click on it. The question card expands to show all editable fields.
Editing Question Text
Click into the question text field at the top of the question card.
Edit the text as needed.
Click Save when you are done.
Editing the Question Description and Image
The description and image for a question are separate fields within the question editor.
To update the description, click into the description field below the question text and make your changes.
To update the question image, click the image area on the question card to remove the current image and upload a new one, or click the image icon to add one if none exists yet.
Adding a New Answer Option
Scroll to the bottom of the answer list within the question.
Click Add Answer.
A new answer field appears. Type the answer text.
Save your changes.
You can add as many answer options as you need. Keep in mind that a very long list of answers can feel overwhelming for customers — where possible, aim for a focused set of choices.
Editing Existing Answer Text
Click into the answer label field for the answer you want to update.
Edit the text directly.
Save your changes.
Removing an Answer Option
On the answer option you want to remove, click the delete icon (usually a bin or ✕ symbol).
The answer is removed from the question immediately.
Save your changes.
If the answer you are deleting has recommendation links or logic jump rules attached to it, those links and rules will also be removed. Check your recommendation setup and logic configuration after deleting an answer to make sure nothing is broken.
Reordering Answer Options
Hover over the answer option you want to move.
Click and hold the drag handle on the answer card.
Drag the answer up or down to its new position.
Release to drop it in place.
Save your changes.
Deleting a Question
On the question card in the quiz editor, click the delete icon.
Confirm the deletion if prompted.
The question is removed from the quiz.
If any other questions have logic jump rules that reference the question you are deleting, those logic rules will break. After deleting a question, review your logic jump configuration to update or remove any rules that previously pointed to the deleted question. See Setting Up Logic Jumps for guidance.
How Edits Affect Past Submissions
Editing question or answer text does not retroactively change how past customer responses are stored or displayed. Historic submissions are preserved exactly as they were captured — the response data records the answer text at the time the customer took the quiz.
This means that if you rename an answer option (for example, changing "Dry skin" to "Dry / Dehydrated skin"), past submissions that recorded the original answer will still show the original text. This is by design, to preserve the accuracy of your historical data.
If you are planning significant changes to question or answer text on an active quiz, consider the impact on your analytics consistency. For major restructuring, duplicating the quiz and treating the new version as a fresh start may give you cleaner data going forward.
