Connecting Mailchimp to Quizify
Connecting Mailchimp to Quizify lets you automatically add quiz leads to your Mailchimp audience. Every time a customer completes your quiz and provides their email address, they are added to your chosen Mailchimp list — with their answer tags included as contact tags.
Before You Start
Make sure the following are in place before connecting:
You have a Mailchimp account with an active audience (list)
The user information form is enabled on your quiz and includes the email field
You have access to your Mailchimp API key (instructions below)
Step 1: Find the Mailchimp Integration in Quizify
Open Quizify from your Shopify admin
Go to Integrations in the main navigation
Find Mailchimp in the list of available integrations
Click Connect or Set Up
Step 2: Get Your Mailchimp API Key
Log in to your Mailchimp account
Click your profile name in the bottom-left corner and select Profile
Go to the Extras menu and select API keys
Click Create A Key to generate a new API key
Copy the key — you will need it in the next step
Keep your API key private. Anyone with access to it can manage your Mailchimp account.
Step 3: Enter the API Key in Quizify
Paste your Mailchimp API key into the API key field in the Quizify Mailchimp integration settings
Click Connect or Verify
Quizify will validate the key and load your Mailchimp audiences
Step 4: Select Your Mailchimp Audience
Once connected, select the Mailchimp audience (list) you want quiz leads added to. If you have multiple audiences, choose the one that corresponds to your quiz marketing list.
Step 5: Save and Test
Save your integration settings
Complete a test run of your quiz using a real or test email address
Check your Mailchimp audience to confirm the contact was added
Verify that any answer tags from the quiz appear as tags on the Mailchimp contact
How Answer Tags Appear in Mailchimp
When Quizify syncs a contact to Mailchimp, the answer tags collected from the customer's selected answers are added to the contact as Mailchimp contact tags. These tags appear in the contact's profile under Tags.
