Quiz Creation Overview
Quizify gives you two ways to build a product recommendation quiz for your store: start from scratch or use a pre-built template. Knowing which path suits your goals saves time and gets your quiz live faster.
Two Ways to Create a Quiz
Build from Scratch
Building from scratch gives you full control over every part of your quiz — the questions, answer logic, result pages, and product mappings. You define the structure from the ground up.
Choose this option when:
Your store has a unique product catalogue that doesn't fit a standard template
You want a custom question flow or branching logic
You're rebuilding an existing quiz with a specific structure in mind
For step-by-step instructions, see Build from Scratch.
Start from a Template
Templates are pre-structured quizzes built around common use cases — skincare finders, gift guides, supplement selectors, and more. You customise the content; the framework is already in place.
Choose this option when:
You want to launch quickly without designing a question flow from scratch
Your product category aligns with an available template
You're new to quiz building and want a working example to learn from
For step-by-step instructions, see Build from a Template.
How Quiz Creation Works: A High-Level Overview
Regardless of the method you choose, building a quiz in Quizify follows the same broad stages:
Choose your creation method — select From Scratch or From a Template from the quiz creation screen.
Set up your quiz basics — give your quiz a name, set the language, and configure introductory content.
Build your questions and answers — add questions, define answer options, and set up any branching logic.
Map answers to products — connect answer choices to the products or collections you want to recommend.
Design your results page — configure how product recommendations appear to your customers.
Publish your quiz — embed the quiz on your store and make it live.
You can save your progress at any stage and return later. Your quiz won't go live until you explicitly publish it.
