Mapping Result Types to Products

After creating your result types and configuring answer votes, the final setup step is to link each result type to the products customers should see when that type wins. This guide explains how to add product links and customise the result page content per type.

How to Access Product Mapping for a Result Type

1. From the Quizify dashboard, click the edit quiz icon next to your quiz to open the quiz editor

2. Click Result in the left menu

3. Click on the result type you want to configure

4. Find the product links section for that type

Linking Products to a Result Type

You can link products to a result type in three ways:

Individual Products Or Variants

1. In the type settings, click Add Product / Variant

2. Search for your Shopify product by name

3. Select it from the results

4. Save

All products you add here will appear on the result page when this type wins.

Product Tags

1. In the type settings, choose the tag link option

2. Enter the exact Shopify product tag

3. Save

All products carrying that tag in your Shopify store will appear on the result page for this type.

Collections

1. In the type settings, choose the collection link option

2. Search for and select your Shopify collection

3. Save

All products in the collection will appear on the result page when this type wins.

Setting Custom Result Page Content Per Type

Each result type can have its own heading, description, and image on the result page. This lets you personalise the experience for each type outcome — for example, addressing customers by their type and describing why those specific products suit them.

1. Open the result type settings

2. Find the Heading field and enter a custom heading (e.g., "Your Skin Type: Oily")

3. Find the Description field and enter a message that speaks to that type (e.g., "Your skin produces more sebum than average. These products are formulated to balance oil production and refine pores.")

4. Optionally, upload a type-specific image

5. Save

If you leave these fields blank, the default result page heading and description from your general result page settings are used.

Previewing the Result for Each Type

After setting up product links and content for a result type:

1. Click Preview in the Quizify editor

2. Go through the quiz selecting answers that vote predominantly for this type

3. Verify that the result page shows the correct products and the custom heading and description for this type

4. Repeat for each result type in your quiz
