Billing and Payment Issues

Quizify billing is managed through Shopify's app billing system — not directly through Quizify. This guide explains how billing works and how to resolve common billing issues.


How Quizify Billing Works

Quizify charges are processed by Shopify's app billing system. This means:

  • You are charged through your Shopify account, not a separate Quizify account

  • Quizify charges appear on your Shopify invoice alongside other app charges

  • Payment is taken from the payment method on file with your Shopify account

  • Billing cycles align with your Shopify billing cycle

You cannot pay for Quizify separately from your Shopify account — all charges flow through Shopify.


Where to View Quizify Charges

  1. Go to your Shopify admin

  2. Navigate to Settings → Billing

  3. Under Bills or Invoices, select the relevant billing period

  4. Quizify charges appear as line items within your Shopify invoice


Unexpected Charges

Overage Charges

The most common unexpected charge is an overage fee — additional charges for quiz submissions beyond your plan's included limit.

If your quiz received more submissions than your plan includes, you are charged per additional submission at the overage rate for your plan.

To avoid overage charges: monitor your submission usage in Quizify and upgrade your plan before you approach the limit.

Plan Change Charges

Upgrading mid-billing-cycle may result in a pro-rated charge for the remainder of the cycle at the new plan rate.


Failed Payments

If a payment for Quizify fails:

  • Shopify will typically retry the payment automatically

  • You may receive an email notification from Shopify about the failed payment

  • If the payment continues to fail, Shopify may pause the app until the payment issue is resolved

  • Check and update your payment method in Shopify admin → Settings → Billing → Payment methods

A failed payment can cause your quiz to stop working if Shopify pauses the app. Resolve the payment issue promptly to restore access.


Refund Requests

Quizify charges are processed through Shopify's billing system. Refund requests should be directed to Quizify support — not Shopify support. Quizify's refund eligibility depends on the circumstances:

  • Accidental upgrades: Contact Quizify support promptly

  • Overage charges: Generally not refundable, but contact support if you believe the charges are incorrect


How to Cancel Quizify

Cancelling Quizify stops future billing but does not automatically delete your data:

  1. Go to Shopify admin → Apps

  2. Find Quizify in your installed apps

  3. Click Delete or Uninstall

  4. Confirm the uninstall

After uninstalling, you will no longer be billed for Quizify. Note that uninstalling may affect whether your quiz data (quizzes, submissions) is retained — contact Quizify support before uninstalling if you want to preserve your data.
