Customising Quiz Button and Label Text

Every text label in your Quizify quiz — including button text, progress indicators, and system messages — can be changed. This lets you align the quiz language with your brand voice or configure the quiz in a language other than English.


Where to Find the Language Settings

Language settings are available in two places, depending on your plan:

Per-quiz language settings (Pro plan and above):

  1. Open the Quizify editor for a quiz

  2. Go to the Language tab

  3. Select a category from the panel to edit labels for that section

Global language settings (all plans):

  1. Open Quizify from your Shopify admin

  2. Go to SettingsLanguage

  3. Edit the labels that apply globally across all quizzes

On Free and Starter plans, only global language settings are available. Pro plan users can set language settings per quiz, which override the global settings for that quiz.

Language Settings Categories

The Language tab is organised into categories. Each category contains the text labels for that part of the quiz experience:

  • Quiz page — Labels used during the quiz itself: Next, Back, question progress text, answer selection info, etc.

  • Thank you page — Text labels shown on the thank you screen after the quiz is completed

  • User Form — Placeholder text and labels for the user information form fields (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Submit button)

  • Product result page — Labels shown on the product recommendation result page: Load More, Add to Cart, View Product, result heading, etc.

  • Result widget — Text labels for any result widget elements

  • Customer email template — Text used in customer-facing emails sent by Quizify


Selecting a Language

Quizify provides a selection of top world languages you can choose from. When you select a language, all label fields in the Language settings are automatically updated to that language's default values — so you do not need to translate each field manually.

To select a language:

  1. Open the Language settings (per-quiz or global)

  2. Find the Language selector at the top of the settings panel

  3. Choose your preferred language from the list

  4. All label fields will update automatically to the selected language's defaults

  5. Save your settings

You can then review and adjust any individual labels if the default translation does not match your preferred wording.


Customising Individual Labels

If you want to customise specific labels — or if your language is not in the built-in list — you can edit each field manually:

  1. Select the category containing the label you want to change (e.g., Quiz page, User Form)

  2. Find the label field

  3. Clear the current text and enter your preferred text

  4. Save

Quiz page:

  • Next (advance to the next question)

  • Back (return to the previous question)

  • Start Quiz (the initial button on the quiz intro)

  • Question progress text

  • Answer selection info text

Thank you page:

  • Heading and body text labels

User Form:

  • First Name placeholder

  • Last Name placeholder

  • Email placeholder

  • Phone placeholder

  • Submit button label

Product result page:

  • Load More

  • Add to Cart

  • View Product

  • Result page heading

Result widget:

  • Widget-specific text labels

Customer email template:

  • Email subject and body text labels


Using This for Translations

To run your quiz in a language other than English, use the language selector to auto-populate all labels, or replace each label manually with the translated equivalent.

The language settings change UI labels and system text only. Your actual question and answer content must be translated manually in the question editor. Quizify does not auto-translate question or answer text.
